At Te Kamo High School we believe that Achievement starts with Attendance. Ensuring that your learner is present and ready for learning means they are more likely to achieve their goals and aspirations. Did you know that If a student misses one day of school every two weeks, they miss more than a whole year of school by 16 years of age. As a parent or caregiver, you, alongside our school, play a key role in building strong habits of regular school attendance thus improving outcomes.
Below you will find guidelines and information that will help us to work together to support your learner. If at any stage you are unsure of the attendance requirements or are experiencing difficulty getting your learner to school please contact your child’s Dean as they will be able to discuss options to support you further. Let’s work together to ensure our ākonga are regular attenders, ready and prepared for learning.
