The New Zealand school year is divided into four school terms for state and integrated schools. The school year starts in Feburary and ends in December with the 6 week long christmas holidays. There are x3 2 week long school holiday periods throughout the year.

When students come to study in New Zealand, education providers have an important responsibility to ensure that those students are well informed, safe and properly cared for.
