Kamo High School is building a strong Kapa Haka group from Year 9 to Year 13 who proudly represent the school and our Māori community. Practises are held regularly with coaches who have represented this region and maintain a high standard of performance.
Nga Manu Korero
Annually, students have the opportunity to deliver speeches, impromptu and prepared in both Māori and English, within this highly competitive environment.
Tai Tokerau Festival
The Kapa Haka group performs at this friendly Northland wide High School Performing Arts Festival. A non-competitive event, it is an ideal environment for students wanting to try this form of performance art which is held during the first term of the school year.
