Careers Advisor – full time, permanent
Kamo High School is a well resourced co-ed school in Whangarei of approximately 1000 students. We believe in building respectful and meaningful relationships with our community and value both whakapono (building integrity and trust) and aroha (practicing compassion and respect) to inspire our students to aspire to be the best versions of themselves both personally and academically.
Our school is community focussed and we encourage all staff to contribute to the varied learning opportunities that are offered to students in such an environment.
The Careers Advisor is a multifaceted role at Kamo High Schools (KHS). We believe strongly in providing opportunities for our students to access pathways that they have chosen and that they believe will assist them with their lives. With this in mind, it is important that our Pathways learning curriculum encourages students to develop the skills, qualities and dispositions identified as being essential in order to be an active and effective citizen in the 21st Century. This is achieved by supporting the implementation and smooth running of Pathways opportunities.
We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about both academic and personal success to join our school whanau, in particular to support the careers guidance and pathways of our students.
