My name is Jeremy Hay and I am 42years old, married to Rebecca for 21 years and have two sons Sean 17 and Ryan 15. Rebecca and I moved from Taupo to Whangarei in 1996 when I started work as fire-fighter in Whangarei. My interests include fishing, diving, camping and just about any sport.
I have had two children attend Kamo High School and have another two presently here. It is a great school that I enjoy supporting as a Board Member.
I am Director of Development at NorthTec and have been involved in tertiary education as a lecturer and manager for over 20 years.
My whakapapa is Maori, English and Scottish.
Kia ora - My name is Secha Alach. My husband, Brendon, and I are the proud parents of Ryley and Jamie. They are in Years 12 and 10 respectively at Kamo High. I am an Admin Manager of a Data Centre, a trustee of our Marae, and also support my self-employed husband with any admin he may need.
I have a Business Degree and also a Legal Executive certificate.
I am currently in and out of Kamo High on a regular basis as I am a member of the Parent and Caregivers' Support Group and also the parent representative on the Student Achievement Change Team.
I am very passionate about education and ensuring that everyone has a pathway or a plan for their future.
Hello My name is Rebecca Reynolds. I live in Kamo with my husband Shane and two sons Christopher (23) and Hayden (15). My sons have both been pupils of Kamo Primary, Kamo Intermediate and Kamo High. Hayden currently in year 10 at Kamo High.
I am currently a Business Manager with Kiwibank Business Banking having worked in banking for 29 and a half years. I also volunteer with Kamo Community Inc where I am currently the treasurer.
Hello, my name is Brad Flower and I am married to Delwyn, we have 3 children – Emily (14 yrs), Blake and Charli (7 yrs).
I am past pupil of Hurupaki School, Kamo Intermediate and Kamo High School.
I have been on the Hurupaki School Board of Trustees as a parent elected member since the 2010 elections and I have held the position of Chairman since 2011. This is a position I still currently hold.
As well as being on the Board of Hurupaki School I am also involved in other community organizations. I had been a Board member of the Kamo Soccer Club for the past 27 years, I have also been a previous Board member of Rugby League Northland. I am currently on the executive of Civil Contractors New Zealand – Northland Branch (past Chairman).
My current and previous work experience gives me an opportunity to assist in the ongoing effective governance of Kamo High School.
I am a Civil Engineer currently working for Downer as the Northland Regional Manager. I have worked in the Civil Construction industry for the past 26 years.
I am a Northlander born and raised, and even though I have spent time living and working in other parts of New Zealand and overseas, Northland has always been home (I can think of no more welcoming sight than the view across Bream Bay from the top of the Brynderwyns).
One thing I have learned in my travels is the importance of education in every society.
I have one son currently attending Kamo High (Year 10) and he is loving his time here.
When I am not busy working I love anything to do with the ocean (fishing, diving, sailing...) and I also play and coach Football (soccer).
Kia ora, Ko Kahn Tangihaere-Brom Toku ingoa.
Ko Ngāti Kahu Ngāti Maniapoto ngā iwi.
My name is Kahn Tangihaere-Brom, I’m half Dutch, half Māori. I’ve lived in New Zealand for all of my life, but I’ve only been living in Whangarei since around the start of 2017.
I’ve been second place academic Dux for my last year of intermediate school, as well as academic second place Year 9 in 2017 at Kamo High School. Aside from being the Student Representative on Kamo High School’s Board of Trustees, I am also one of the school’s Junior Ambassadors.
I enjoy reading, dice, sudoku and self-improvement, and I’m all about trying new things and putting myself out there. I may be somewhat ambitious in my intentions with my position on the Board, but I hope to make some sort of meaningful and/or noticeable change for Kamo High School in the future.
